I have a questions for everyone--as a capricorn, do you find that you are overly sensitive and emotionally? I was under the impression that capricorns were more reason-ruling emotion types...

I am a Gem (and a gemini;))---but I have Cap rising, so the outward world perceives me as such on a basic level, and my moon is in cap, so my emotions are directly linked to this energy. I would say the emotional structure is strong and weak for the same reason within the folds of this energy:
It applies logic and restraint, along with self-scrutinizing direction to the realm of emotions.
This can kill you or save you.
In the tarot, the card most associated with Cap is "The Devil" which stands for the crossroads between choices and desires, if you stop to thin about the Gard of Eden mythos. The devil is deeply concerned with pride and material posessions, i.e. having your cake and eating it too.
I urge you to see where your moon resides in your chart if you wish to see beyond being a cap. We are all but a mix. I might have more cap tendancies than you, though my sun is in Gemini.
Anyway, aside from all this serious occultism. Capricorns are emotional just like all other signs. They tend to be ashamed of this fact, and tend to stay subdued despite what they feel. Your emotions will haunt you unless you are truly pursuing a path that will enable you to climb. Remember, you word is AMBITION as a sun sign cap.

A vulcan's logic always tries to rule over his emotion...a battle I fight all the time. Are all capricorn's control freaks? We hate to be humiliated or to be made to feel stupid.

I can totally relate to that energy you speak of, and the emotional health of my life seems to depend on how happy I try and keep myself at all times; it is a challenge sometimes to keep both feet on the ground even though we are supposed to be this steadfast and very confident earthsign.
